SPA Daily: UEFA Champions League Review

MANCHESTER UNITED V VALENCIA CF

Tuesday saw the first half of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 completed, as Groups A through D concluded their first round of the world’s premier club competition. In the process, Bayern Munich, Wolfsburg, Marseille, and Atlético Madrid were ushered into the Europa League.

To talk about the survivors and the thrivers, Set Piece Analysts Richard Farley, Brian Zygo, Johnathan Starling and Jeff Kassouf come together and consider Tuesday’s results. Along the way, they ask about Louis van Gaal’s redemption, CSKA’s presciption, Manchester United’s organization, and the Real Madrid, Milan prognostications.

Closing the show, the SPAs talk about the NASL, the easiest World Cup Group, and who you would want taking a direct kick for your club with the match tied in stoppage time.

Well? Who would you? Tell us, below.

love the podcast guys. just my thoughts; i’d take either ronaldo or ribery for a free kick, though i’m leaning towards ronaldo…

Thanks, Pete. Ronaldo certainly is difficult to argue against, especially after watching his kick this week about 50x.

    Not that I’ve done that.

    Stupid accessibility via the internet.
